Back length
Measure from where the collar sits to the base of the tail. Lift the tail slightly to locate it.
Neck girth
Wrap the tape snugly around the broadest part of the neck, where a collar usually sits.
Chest girth
Measure the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
Final check
Take each measurement a couple of times for accuracy.
